Friends of Paisley Abbey

Scottish Charity Number SC007633

Who we are

The Society of Friends of Paisley Abbey was founded in 1951 to support the care of Paisley Abbey and the Place of Paisley, including its adornment and furnishing; the maintenance of music, the encouragement of research into the history of the Abbey, and any project connected with the maintenance or improvement of the Abbey and the Place of Paisley.

What we do

Today, the Friends are a unique community who enjoy supporting the Abbey’s music, heritage, art and fabric of the building. The funds they raise are invested to provide added resilience to the many challenges the Abbey has to deal with in its custodianship of one of the great mediaeval buildings of Scotland as a place of active worship.
